Favourite pictures of january
It was such a strange and long month. Winter holidays with the family in Ireland, one night in London, back to Bali.
I made myself a Christmas gift - I replaced my favourite portable Leica and planned to take pictures of everything, everyone and everywhere. A visual diary of my life. The art or noticing. Creative act of being.
But I didn’t.
I don’t know why. Ireland was dark and cold. Bali life swept me off my feet and by the end of the month I was dead.
Honestly, nowhere can beat Irish sunrise. I watched so many of them editing hundreds of photos sitting in front of my office window at 7am.
This is pretty much the only entertainment available in Irish countryside. As much as artistic it looks, my soul was craving something more contemporary, so we hopped on the plane and flew to London to enjoy some galleries and museums.
There’s always that Irish guy who wears shorts at 0 degrees celsius.
It was a fun night, very rushed but fulfilling. I love city breaks very much! Love watching people, especially. Observing busy life. Coming to London in summertime for longer than 24 hours is definitely on my to-do list.
All my essence in this suitcase.
I started to believe that every person has their country. And it’s not necessary the one they were born in. Bali felt like home when I first stepped on its land. One and a half year later I’m feeling even happier here.
